CCPA / CPRA Notice for California Residents

1. Categories of personal information collected
In the preceding 12 months, Tone Cooling Technology Co., Ltd. may have collected the following categories of “personal information” as defined by Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140 about California residents who interact with our website or submit business enquiries:
- Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, company name, IP address.
- Commercial information — product enquiries, quote requests, purchase history.
- Internet or other electronic network activity — browsing history on our site, interactions with ads, analytics events.
- Geolocation data — approximate location derived from IP address.
- Professional or employment-related information — job title, business role.
- Inferences — aggregated interests based on pages viewed.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, biometric data, information about children under 16, or health or financial account numbers through our website.
2. Sources and business purposes
We collect this information directly from you when you submit a form or communicate with us, from cookies on our website (where you consent), and from publicly available business directories. We use it for the business purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including responding to enquiries, providing quotes, fulfilling orders, customer service, website security, and (with your consent) marketing and analytics.
3. “Sale” and “sharing” of personal information
Tone Cooling Technology Co., Ltd. does not sell personal information for money. However, certain analytics and advertising cookies (e.g. Google, LinkedIn) may qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. If you do not wish us to share your information for these purposes, you can:
- Click the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer;
- Reject analytics and advertising cookies in our cookie banner;
- Enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal, which we honour as an opt-out; or
- Email us at privacy@tonecooling.com with “CCPA opt-out” in the subject line.
4. Your CCPA rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Right to know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing — as described in Section 3 above.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring this limitation, so this right is preserved by default.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a CCPA right.
5. How to exercise your rights
To submit a verifiable consumer request, email privacy@tonecooling.com with:
- Subject line “CCPA request — [know / delete / correct / opt out]”;
- Your full name, business email, and company;
- A description of your request;
- Sufficient information to verify your identity (we will not use this information for any other purpose).
We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days (extendable by 45 days if reasonably necessary, with notice). You may also designate an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorisation signed by you, and we may ask you to verify the agent’s authority.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for the periods described in our main Privacy Policy, Section 7.
7. Shine the Light
California Civil Code §1798.83 (the “Shine the Light” law) permits residents to request information about disclosures of certain personal information to third parties for direct-marketing purposes.
